You'll complete all of the items that go into the workshop and then will put all the items together.
This tutorial is for the screwdriver. Originally I made a large one, which looked pretty realistic, but when I resized it down small enough to go into the workshop, it lost a lot of detail. So I made a small pixel one instead.
My pixel outline You may download it here.
My color chart. Right click on it and save to your computer.
Step 1. Open up the canvas with the pixel outline you downloaded. There's a background layer and the pixel outline on the canvas.
Step 2. Open up the color chart you downloaded. Copy and paste it as a new layer onto your canvas. Move it to the top, out of your way. When you need a color, just click on it with your dropper tool.
Now you just need to color the image. I give you the colors I used, but feel free to change them as you wish.
Step 3. Choose your paintbrush and set your brush size to 1.
For the end bit, I used 3 colors of grey, #'s 1, 2, 3.
Step 4. Add a new layer. Paint the inner bits with colors #4 and 5, like this.
Step 5. Add a new layer. Paint the remaining bits with color #6.
Step 6. Keeping your last layer active, choose your selection tool (any shape) and draw all around your image. You'll see the marquee ("marching ants").
Set foreground to color #7. Apply a cutout (effects>3d effects>cutout), using settings in the screenshot. The shadow color is #7. Just click on the box and choose it from your list of recent colors.
Step 7. Delete your color chart, pixel outline, and background layers. Merge visible layers. Save as a PSP file.
Enjoy the tuts!
