Page 6: Little Chest Series

I made a chest and then some items to go on it. You'll find the tutorials for all of the items on this page.

All of the tutorials on this site are my original creations. I have taken a lot of time to create them, and to share them with you, and I do so freely. However, I do have some simple terms of use, which I would appreciate your reading before using the tutorials. You may find them here.

The tutorials on this page were originally done in PSP 7.04. I am in the process of updating them for use with PSP 9, and PSP X. As you work through my site, all of my later tutorials are done for all three of these versions. As I find time, I will come back to these earlier tuts and revise them.

The first 4 tutorials below are all new. The last 3 tutorials (the pincushion, basket, and flower) are older ones. You can adapt these tutorials for use with your chest.

  • Pincushion - it should work fine just the way it is. If you want, you could use a different color for it, but I think the red works just fine, especially since it gets resized so small.

  • Basket - I made this basket and just used a different fill for the ribbon, one that would match the colors of the chest. You could also just use the basket plain, without the ribbon. I also darkened it just a bit using the variations filter (you could use the adjust color function in psp as well).

  • Flower - I made the flower and then changed the color using the variations filter. You could also just use a different color to start with when making the flower (or you could actually just use it the way it is - I wanted it to be a little less pink). To put the flower in the basket, just paste it as a layer on top and then erase the bit that overlaps at the bottom.
