I am providing selections for you to use. There is a little bit of drawing involved in this tutorial, but it's very easy (mostly lines), and I provide a lot of screenshots for you. There are a lot of layers, but don't let that scare you, it just helps keep things organized.
Paint Shop Pro. I used version 7.04 but if you are familiar with PSP, you should be able to convert the tutorial without problems. You can download the latest PSP version demo here My seamless fill tiles. You can download them here.
Step 1. Open a new image 300 x 450, background color of your choice. Step 2. Add a new layer. Load selection 1 (go to selections>load from disk - then navigate to the location you placed your selection files). Flood fill with #FCFCEE.
Apply a cutout (go to effects>3d effects>cutout), and use the settings in the screenshot. Repeat the cutout, but change the vertical and horizontal settings to -1. Note: you'll follow this same procedure in the following directions whenever I tell you to apply a cutout.

Step 6. Make one of your shoe layers active. Choose the draw tool, freehand line, size 1, antialias checked. Set your foreground color to black, and your background to null. Draw some lines on the shoe similar to mine. Lower the opacity of this layer to 20-30. Repeat for the other shoe. (Note: screenshot enlarged to show detail.

Step 23. Add a new layer. Draw an ear. Lower opacity to about 30.
Step 25. Now you need to make something for him to hold. I chose to draw some roses, but you could use anything you choose. If you want to make the roses, add a new layer. Load selection 17. Flood fill with #D38392.
Step 26. Add a new layer. Set foreground color to a lighter pink #EED6DB, and background color to a darker pink #BC6C7B. Choose your airbrush, using same settings as in Step 24 above, Spray color similar to mine. Choose retouch tool, smudge brush, with settings in Step 24 above and smudge the colors around. Hide all layers except these two and merge visible layers. Now hide this layer (so your screen is transparent).
Step 27. Add a new layer. Load selection 18. Flood fill with green #739F60. Apply cutout as before. Add a new layer, draw a line similar to mine, lower opacity to about 30. Merge visible layers.
Step 28. Make your background, rose, and leaf layers visible. Now all you need to do is copy and paste the rose and the leaf as new layers, as many times as you wish, to make a bunch of roses. When satisfied, hide the background layer and merge visible layers. Now make all your layers visible again and move your roses on top of his hands.

Step 29. Add a new layer. Move this layer underneath both the hand layers. Set your foreground color to the same green as your leaf and your background color to null. Choose your freehand draw tool, line size about 3. Draw some stems for your roses.

And that's it, all done! Save as a master .psp file with all layers intact. That way, you can go back later and change things around if you wish.
