My heart selection and some jewels for decorating the heart. You can download these items here. Place the selection in your PSP selections folder, or in a location of your choice (just remember where you place it). The jewels are in psp format. Super Blade Pro. This is a commercial filter and you can download it here. My Super Blade Pro silver preset. You can download it here. Unzip it and put into your Super Blade Pro presets file. Ok, got everything in place? Then we're ready to begin.
Step 1. Open a new image 300 x 300, background black (for better visibility - you can change the color later). Step 2. Add a new layer. Load the heartjewel selection, flood fill with white. If you don't like this heart, you can draw your own. PSP has several preset heart shapes that you can use. Just set the line size to about 8 and draw one of your choice.

![]() Step 4. Now you need to draw the squiggly part at the top of the heart. Add a new layer. Set your foreground color to white and your background color to null. With your draw tool, freehand line, width 8, draw a squiggly line to suit you. Float this selection (go to selections>select all>float).
![]() Step 5. Apply the SBP silver preset, same as before.
![]() Step 6. Now all you need to do is add some jewels to it. If you're using my jewels (that you downloaded), open them up now. For each item you add, just copy and paste it onto the heart as a new layer. That way, you can rearrange as you wish. Here's mine.
![]() Step 7. When you're satisfied with your creation, save a master PSP file with all layers intact - that way you can go back and change things later if you wish. All done! Here's another variation of this heart I made. I just added beads all around the heart and used the variations filter to change the color to gold instead of silver.
![]() I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, and please let me know if you have any problems. I'd love to see what you create too!
